  • The Grief Cocoon Open Mic

    We host and facilitate inclusive, non-judgmental open mic event where people can share their creative work and connect with others through the process. At these events, there is space for open conversations and sharing of work on the themes of grief, loss, death, and dying. All art forms are welcome.

    This event can also include a feature performance by our founder Gabriela Georges, or another suitable artist. Open mic events also work well following one or more creative workshops where participants can learn how to use writing or other art forms to explore their grief and loss experiences.

  • Grief Flicks & Chat

    Grief Flicks & Chat is an innovative event using short films and movies that explore themes of grief, loss, death as a prompt to ponder life’s big question.

    Each session will include a movie and a set of curated, thoughtful questions to be discussed in small groups.

  • Grief Poetry Cafe

    These are informal sessions that involve open conversations prompted by poems that explore grief, loss, death and/or dying.

    The process of selecting poetry can be participant or facilitator led.
