Writing Through Grief

  • Centre for Care & Wellbeing Third Drive Springvale Botanical Cemetery Springvale, VIC 3171 Australia (map)

Learn to explore grief and loss through a mix of reflective and creative writing prompts in these 90 minute workshops. No creative writing experience necessary and sharing your work is optional.

Gently guided by Gabriela Georges (founder of The Grief Cocoon), Writing through Grief is an intimate writing workshop that can help you develop emotional self-awareness and insight, learn how to express and process grief through writing, and connect with others who are grieving.

Gabriela is a writer, musician, creative grief guide, and facilitator with over 8 years of experience working with people who are grieving. She continues to process her own grief through writing, after losing her mother as a young woman, and is passionate about sharing the power of words and creative expression with others. Gabriela is also trauma-informed and completed a Masters of Arts and Community Practice in 2017 at the Victorian College of the Arts.
